Students are studying Unit 4 and 5 in our TCI Social Studies textbook, "How and Why Europeans Came to the Americas" and "Routes of European Explorers".
We are studying a variety of artifacts European Explorers used to explore and natural objects found in the New World. Next, we are focusing on the routes explorers explored that led to colonization of the New World.
**Students will test over both chapters in the next couple of weeks. More information to follow.
**Next, unit of study is Early Settlement and Colonization.
Students answer questions like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" game all centered around Native Americans. When all questions are answered correctly, students get the chance to fling the teacher in a barrel "catapult-style".
Students can find a multitude of information regarding the American Revolution. This site provides data about important people, events, battles, video clips, etc. Encourage your child to view this site and use it to broaden their knowledge of this AMAZING time in our history!
